    Why use Kellogg's® Rice Krispies®?

As the first crisped rice cereal, Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® has been bringing families together in the kitchen for over 80 years.

To experience the timeless flavor, make your Rice Krispies Treats® squares with the original Rice Krispies® brand cereal.

    Where to buy

1. In 3-quart saucepan, combine milk chocolate morsels and shortening.
Stir over very low heat until morsels melt and mixture is smooth. Remove
from heat.

2. Stir in KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal and coconut. Mix until evenly
coated. Portion into 24 paper baking cups for cupcakes.

3. Chill 30 minutes or until set. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

Whenever my husband and I take the kids camping, we always have to bring a batch of Rice Krispies Treats along. I'm not really sure how the tradition started, but it's become such a huge part of our yearly trip that we actually prefer them to s'mores. Sometimes I make them a little more s'more-like -- with melted chocolate and crumbled graham crackers on top. We eat them by the fire, tell crazy jokes and fall asleep under the stars.
